Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout fight which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" the American and "break" the American as the two fighters came face-to-face to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.
Ex twice unified title holder Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami venue on December 19th.
Boxer's Mentality
"I will break his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," Joshua, 35, declared.
"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.
"I'm going to seriously aim to hurt him. That's my goal."
Civil Interaction
Despite such comments, a calm Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally recognized for his showmanship - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul rather criticized former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK opponent Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Paul's Background
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in last year.
Commercial Success
Still, the novice is still one of the sport's greatest financial successes, consistently making huge financial rewards.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would prevent the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently in the works for 2026.
"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul said.
Physical Difference
As the two fighters met for the customary stare-down, with their size difference evident, it highlighted just how unlikely this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the match is truly happening.
