Intensive Russian Strikes Eliminate Electricity Across Kyiv

Energy infrastructure under attack in Ukraine
The country's power facilities have faced escalating strikes in recent weeks

During the night, Moscow's missile and drone strikes have caused blackouts in large parts of Ukraine's capital, Kyiv.

Nine people were injured while local people in eastern districts were plunged into darkness and encountered interruptions to drinking water, according to city officials.

At the same time, a young boy was killed in a separate assault in the southeastern region in the country's south-east, based on information from area administrators.

Moscow has escalated attacks on electrical systems over the last fortnight, while Ukrainian leadership has demanded "substantial measures" from partner nations to apply pressure on Russia.

"What's needed is not superficial actions but decisive action - from the America, Europe and the G7 - in providing protection systems and implementing restrictions," was stated in a public message.

He said that numerous aerial vehicles and over thirty rockets attacked energy facilities, describing such strikes as "strategic and deliberate" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as winter approaches.

Government representatives said Russia was "conducting extensive attacks" and maintenance teams were laboring to repair systems.

A barrage of missiles hit electrical systems and apartment buildings in the capital.

Five out of the nine people injured in the attacks on the capital have been taken to hospital, according to local officials.

Area administrators said the city experienced significant strikes during nighttime hours. A minor was killed and multiple civilians were hurt.

The assaults come after periods of bombing campaigns in the territory, parts of which are occupied by invading troops.

The entire country is in a state of readiness for hypersonic Kinzhal missile strikes, which are harder to identify.

National leaders told the media that Moscow was deliberately attempting to damage the country's energy grid, with strikes already disrupting energy systems.

Authorities confirmed technical personnel and authorities were anticipating more assaults.
